Organizing the Workspace
After you work with Adobe Premiere for a while, you'll want to organize the workspace to suit your needs. Here’s
an approach you might want your students to try. They will likely settle on their own workspace depending on
their monitor setup and as they gain some comfort working with Adobe
Premiere Pro.
Becasue I’m working in 1024x768 for these modules (higher resolutions
don’t reproduce well in print), I need as much editing screen real estate as
I can get. For starters, I dock the History and Info palettes by dragging and
dropping the Info tab next to the History tab. It ends up looking like the
palette in Figure 5.13. Then I close it by clicking the little ‘x’ in its upper-
right corner. If I need to open either History or Info, I select Window >
History—or—Info.
